Elevating roof

It would be fair to say that when we first purchased our 32 year old Eriba Pan back in Sept 2016 it needed a little loving. Upon further investigation it needed quite a lot of loving to bring it back to top spec.

The elevating roof was leaking internally, one handle was adrift, and there were some shabby fibreglass repairs to attend to.

So first things first it was careful removal of the roof, strip down sort out the repairs, prep for paint, and bring back to life.

Using Rustoleum paint we were able to use a high density foam roller to paint the entire Eriba, from top to bottom.

You still have to prepare the area carefully, rub down, vacuum, de grease etc, but then you can simply mix your paint, thin down with white spirit and then away making progress.

Flat off after each coat with 2000 wet n dry, vacuum, degrease etc, and three coats later its as good as new.

Gas and battery locker

Like the elevating roof our gas locker cover had seen better days, with some rustic fibreglass repairs and broken hinges. The only thing for it was to completely remove from the Eriba and sort repairs in the workshop.

Once on the bench we could strip away the old fibreglass and instigate the necessary repairs with tape and resin, before prepping in readiness for paint.

You still have to prepare the area carefully, rub down, vacuum, de grease etc, but then you can simply mix your paint, thin down with white spirit and then away making progress.

Two Tone body work

We decided upon a two tone colour scheme for our vintage Eriba bodywork, so once our specific shades had been chosen it was time for a complete external strip down, with windows, lights, plates etc removed and stored for refitting later.

Using Rustoleum paint we were able to use a high density foam roller to paint the entire Eriba, from top to bottom. With no over spray or harmful chemical odours there is no requirement for protective clothing etc.

You still have to prepare the area carefully, rub down, vacuum, de grease etc, but then you can simply mix your paint, thin down with white spirit and then away making progress.

Flat off after each coat with 2000 wet n dry, vacuum, degrease etc, and three coats later its as good as new.

Our 32 year old Eriba windows had certainly lost their lustre and transparency, fortunately we have the equipment to carefully cut them back removing grime and surface scratches. With this done we brought the windows back to life with quality polishes and buffing, and their original sparkle and transparency has returned.

If your windows are a little tired and could benefit from a cut and freshen up, then please contact Diane in sales for more information:
