Early Tin Top goes to the Camper Shak
These shots taken from our latest full commission show Dave & Angie's beloved early bay camper. The vehicle has been fully restored with all body work as new, new 1641cc street power engine, superb empi gear shifter etc.
Well the outside was complete but their bus was a barren wasteland inside. They had a 3/4 rock and roll bed resting inside and a vision of how they wanted their bus to look.
After an initial meeting designs were thrashed out, Dave and Angie went on holiday, and their bus began its transformation at the Camper Shak.
They wanted the full works:
Back bedroom locker, overhead locker, main storage, kitchen unit with cooker, sink and 36 litre thermo fridge, buddy storage seat and to complete the set, a brand new vinyl wrapped table to match.
So that Dave and Angie could enjoy their sounds a matching facia was secured under the rock n roll bed, which accomodated stereo speakers.
The trasformation was complete, the couple returned from their holiday and now are planning many trips in their fantastic vw camper.
Many Thanks to Dave & Angie for allowing publication
The internal body panels were sound proofed, customer door cards were then fitted, the floor was insulated and finished off with a full wood laminate bed.
Holes were made to accommodate the table post, and the waste water under the main kitchen unit.
The empty room was beginning to look like a camper again, and now it was ready for the "Camper Shak" furniture.
